1. ^ For that last video, check out the other video called "Irrelevant" from that poster. It sounds the same as that fake Sirens snippet.
  2. Hi all,

Matt here. I've been posting on this site for close to eight years - just a brief introduction for lurkers who might not know who I am etc., since BS rumors get posted on and off. I'd like to think I can be trusted.

With that all being said, a good friend of mine has had a connection at Live Nation Canada for many years now whom he had dinner with last night. He looped me in on a bit of the conversation.

U2's next tour will officially be opening in Vancouver in May of 2015, with two nights (currently) at Rogers Arena. From there, it will continue to hit major markets for multiple nights. The second leg of the tour will be including stadiums.

That is 100% of the information that was shared and nothing else is known (album dates, cities, routing, etc.)…but please know that as a loyal member of this website that tries not to contribute to too much of the bullshit, you can take this pretty seriously. It's an honor to share such wonderful news with this community!!! If I find out anything else, of course I will share with you all.

My one request is that you keep it classy with this information. Even though I have zero reserves or doubts that this is true, please don't take my word as gospel. I have not confirmed anything for anyone……but we're close

If tour information rolls around and this ends up not being correct, I sincerely apologize. All I can tell you right now is that the people who sign the contracts to host these bands are under the impression that U2 is opening up a world tour in their arena in May 2015. Any surprise to you will also come as a surprise to them.

    Cheers
  3. Either an album will be out at the rear end of this year or beginning of next year. Won't be surprised if they use Rogers Arena as a rehearsal base for a couple of weeks beforehand.

Well done, Matt, if this rings true, I'm coming to you for some information in the future.
  4. Like I said, I have no doubts, as the guy who signs his name and agrees to pay the big bucks is under that impression - I see no reason for it to not be true. Could the band wiggle around and alter the tour a little? Sure. But the fact of the matter is that they'll be on the road by next summer. They wouldn't have contracts drawn and reserves on specific venues if that weren't true.
  5. Yeah, totally agree. They organise tours a year in advance - it has happened with the previous tours. So there must be a complete album in the pipeline. We're nearly here, folks. It's almost showtime again. Better start saving.

Saying that, wasn't there rumours a while back of the tour opening in Vancouver?
  6. Thanks Matt

Only may 2015 is still soooooooooo far away.
  7. Sooner or later one of these rumours has to be true.

I think this might be the one!

There have been so many dates for this or that through "Reliable Sources," that one of them have to be right. Why not yours? Well, at this point, it doesn't matter to me. I'm starting to lose interest in the whole thing. When it finally comes to the album and the tour, it happens when it happens, but the easy answer is it will happen much farther in the future than any of us wanted. I'll be excited when it drops, but I'm kinda bummed that I'm going through the same thing with Prince...but at least he keeps releasing digital singles...some of them really nice, some just ok.
  9. I don't know...still won't believe it until there is a definite announcement. I don't think you're BSing Matt but still...also still hoping for an album this year.
  10. Thanks for sharing, Matt! Info sounds pretty reliable to me, I'm also very confident that it is all coming together now. It takes the time it takes, I'm not particularly bummed (I know I thought otherwise at some point - but it *must* take the time it takes... and we're nearly there!).
  11. In my mind a lot of the info from "reliable" sources the last years may have been true... and then U2 changed their plans again. I have complete faith in Matt and hope this truth will come to be.
