Well I'd like to respect the taper's whishes, but my mobile and my mp4player don't support FLAC. I know why its important to use lossless. But at the end of the foodchain it doesnt matter much if you recode it imo

And the lossless has been uploaded as well, i don't see a problem here

The problem Yeah tries to point out is the fact that this lossy gig might (or will) have an own life over the internet, with people re-encoding it to death. That's what the taper whishes to prevent. It's okay to encode to mp3 for personal use, but sharing it is something different. I don't care though...I don't have to encode it myself now, but I can feel sympathy for the taper's wishes.

Remy allows it though and he's the boss.

Yep, we provide it in lossless and lossy. People have a choice.
If people decide to re-encode it to death, they can do that too with the lossless recording. That's not a valid point IMHO.

Well, if anyone wants to continue this discussion it can be done in the stuck in a moment forum, for anyone else in this thread, ontopic please

Ehm, no. What I try to point out is that the taper came out with a quality recording after 3 1/2 years, shares it for free with everyone (tapers, none-tapers, the mysterious "real fans",...) adds one small request to it and gets ignored.

Lesson learned: Don't share your stuff.

But I know I'm beating a dead horse and will stop the discussion once more. Sorry Remy.

I'd like to respect the wishes of the taper as well, sorry for putting it up here.
Next time i will do it like i used to do it. Only lossless if taper requests it. Although the rules allow MP3s i don't want to have this discussion every time. People who want MP3 (for personal use) next time can request the links by PM

My last message then..Sorry for wrongly explaining your comment Yeah. And to close the discussion: we can't control it anyway. The taper might have wishes, and some respect it and life up to it, many others won't. It's like putting some candy for a child's face and asking him not to touch it. He will eventually.

Which do you think is better: The Old IEM recording or the new audience?

Thanks!
