Is it Bono (singing, lyrics), Edge (guitar), Adam (bass) or Larry (drums).

I think, and hope, Adam will continue his Vertigo-tour joy and awesome bass playing in this album, I think he will stand out. I have very high expectations from the bass parts on the new album.

I'm expecting most from Bono, I think his voice is getting better and better, there is a quality to it that only age and experience bring with it -- he once said, I think in that "Bono in conversation" book, that in Frank Sinatra's voice you can hear every tear the man has cried... and already from HTDAAB I could hear that in Bono's voice, too.. and I think it's a gift. Thinking of Miss Sarajevo 2005 as well.

I agree with you. Adam was THE MAN during the Vertigo-era and I think he should continue that. His bass-line on Vertigo, Love And Peace and COBL is awesome. Since the 'Happy Birthday' from mandela's 90 Birthday party I have high expectations for Bono too...

actually, I'm expecting something new, different or fresh from all of them.

looking back at the bday video for mandela bono's voice sounded awesomely smooth, no rough edges, no hoarseness. seems promising

edge always seems open for surprises, creates to-die-for atmospheres with the sounds he gets out of his guitar(s) - am not doubting in any way that he'll lift us all off the ground again on the next album

then there's also adam and larry, who always did a constant job in my opinion. would be positively surprised if they both stood out a little more on the next album. doesn't seem to be so unlikely imo!

None. I don't divide them on an album release.

They are a band so each need to do their bit. If they are all on song then we have no worries (as long as the musics good)

expecting some molten metal from Mr. The Edge . And I also hope Bono brings some great vocals.....and for the rest of the band....if the song isn't energic I don't listen to drums very much.....and I hardly ever recognize bass lines, they have to be very strong for such a deaf person as me to hear them

My thoughts too. I do think Bono needs to bring his A-game for it to be a classic. The rest of them do their bit consistently, but he can waver.

Just play, and do it well. A good bass with some good, deep drums are okay too.

I think everything and everyone are going to defy gravity. Bono is singing like he has never sung before, I'm sure Edge has got amazing tricks up his sleeve, Adam I have a feeling is going to be on fire. I'm really excited to hear what Larry has got going on, I'm thinking there will be some very interesting drum parts. I noticed the electronic kit in his studio, never seen him use one before; I doubt he will bring it on tour, but for the record there could be some interesting mixes of electronic and analog drums

I think the lyrics are going to be stellar as well; I think the poetry is definitely back in Bono
