Here at U2start there are a lot of upgrades posted, sometimes the crew even can't decide whether an upgrade is better than the existing one or not. That's why we create this upgrade round table, so you can help us in this process!
How does it work?
When an upgrade arrives our crew will first take a look and decide whether it's a valid submission (some submissions are useless to U2start). If an upgrade can be usefull, our crew will put it in this thread. You then can listen to the current and 'upgrade' recording and decide which one is better.
What should you post?
You should post how many stars you think the new upgrade is worth and if you think it's a better bootleg than the existing one. You may add a short sound review too. Only judge the upgrade on sound quality, not on other things.
What will we do?
After a short time we will look at the posts of users who compared the two recordings and make a decision, decisions can be:
- We will not use the upgrade and leave the current one in place.
- We will add the upgrade to the bootlegs pages, but leave the current one in place too.
- We will replace the current bootleg with the new upgrade.
Thanks, I will post a first test upgrade in my next post

Alright, the first one is: 1990-01-05 - Rotterdam, Netherlands - Sportpaleis Ahoy
Current bootleg has a 4-star rating:

The upgrade, I think, is inferior to the existing one and posted by U2want is this thread, it's a Bobfather one:

What do you think guys?

Like the idea. Just downloaded the files, but have to go now (going to Sealand for Ride for the Roses), will listen to them after that (Sunday I think) and report my opinions.

Having the other Bobfather's in mind, I think this one won't make it against our current source. I'm downloading now, to judge honestly within a few minutes.

To give it an honest thought...: I'm surprised by this Bobfather's one. It seems better than the earlier recordings from Dortmund and Amsterdam. I still think the excisting one is the best, it has more depth and less noise. But Bobfather is a good competitor. People should judge for themselves whether they like it or not, the difference isn't that big.

Thanks, added the recording and rated it 3.5 stars, contrary to the existing 4 stars.

A new matrix of the Stockholm 92 gig popped up the other day. Here's a sample. Upgrade or not?

Funny, I just logged on to U2torrents and I listened a sample there. I think it sounds great.
BTW: u2torrents is slow!

For sure...more bass and body. No distortion too. Worthy of posting here, but not worthy to delete the audience of course. Jus add both, I'd say.
