1. Anyone whos been to a gig yet this year- have there been gig posters? Like an event-specific poster?
  2. I didn't see any posters in Berlin. Merchandise was quite limited. T-shirts, tourbook. That's it more or less.

There were some pretty nice promo posters for their summer gig, though. One went home with me.

    Taper notes :

Venue announced a maximum of 100dB SPL, but the band played much louder !!
I had to lower the levels twice (during "Berlin" and "I'll never let go" where it is the most noticeable).
I've very briefly reached the peak again during "Fallen Empires", but the recording doesn't suffer of any distortion.

  3. Cheers again for the post. Downloading everything I can
  4. Thanks for that, yeah. I will download it just for the sake of listening to those Microphone Madness mics (which I'm thinking of getting) I'm also curious why he had to lower the levels... Do the band play that loud?
  5. I liked their show a lot, in Rotterdam a few weeks ago. More U2 fans than devoted Snow Patrol fans in the crowd, which made it even better. Great voice, some good tunes. Greatest hits show already.
  6. Can't say I like what they have did with Called Out in the Dark. Those keyboard harmonics are too strong.

Gary has spoken about their songwriting style, interesting stuff. And he has named Arcade Fire, Bon Iver and another band (didn't pick it, sorry) as their biggest "modern" influences, and The Beatles as their biggest influence ever. Well, theirs and everybody's, according to Gary "They invented everything. Every band that's played in this room exists simply because of The Beates."
