As a whole, they were clearly a remarkable band. As far as individual talent, they were maybe even more gifted. I'd put Roger up there as one of the greatest vocalists ever. Townshend was more than a guitarist, he was a musician, composer, innovator...Entwistle was, hands down, the greatest bassist of all time. And we all know about Mooney.
If you haven't seen it I'd definitely recommend it. Its a little expensive at $30 but worth every penny.

I would really debate you on Amazing Journey being worth $30. Although the Edge appeared in it, there were very few things it offered. For that much I'd get a second copy of the two disc TKAA. Now that's a rockumentary.
"The first rock 'n' roll disaster movie of its kind..." (I wonder if any members of the Who ever saw R&H...  )

Didn't Roger Daltry say something to the effect of. "Most concert films exsit to make Robert Plants dick look bigger. This is completely diffrent. We make asses of ourselves in the first half hour". I'm sure he said something like that.

He did. 
However this film is just so meaningful for a Who fan. It captures Keith Moon's last performance before a crowd. They even kept the film the way it was after Moonie died while it was in production. This shows the real Who, unlike Amazing Journey. Besides, a Who documentary? Come on. The Who is about their live stuff and their music in the studio, not a "behind the music" story. Essential Who DVD's are TKAA and 30 Years of R&B Live (it complements TKAA).
In other Who related news, they're releasing new concert stuff on DVD. Kilburn '77 and the London gig from Dec. 14th (?) 1969. Two legendary shows that capture the Who at their best and worst (not so much the worst, just very very raw).
