As long as there is no Summer rain, it's a great song

Last Summer I started my playlist series which featured songs of the moment, from that list here were some highlights:

Under Pressure - My Chemical Romance & The Used
Handle With Care - Traveling Wilburys
End of the Line - Traveling Wilburys
American Pie - Don McLean
Touch of Grey - Grateful Dead
Brown Sugar - Rolling Stones
Kokomo - Beach Boys
More Than a Feeling - Boston
Don't Stop - Rolling Stones
Volcano - Jimmy Buffet

Thats just the first 15...

Essential - Beach Boys Sounds of Summer OR Pet Sounds

At the risk of starting a war.
Queen and david Bowie version of Under Pressure is 5,000 times better than the cover.
Any Stevie Ray Vaughn song works for me also.

New, idea(since this seems dead.) Late Night Driving Song: Its 3 in the morning, and your driving back from wherever you were, your girl, family, friends, etc are all asleep, and your driving down a long boring highway. What song do you want to come on?

Hotel California: The Eagles.
Radar Love or Twilight Zone: Golden Earring.

Always
Pop (Discotheque to and inc. Playboy Mansion)
HMTMKMKM
Vertigo (Jacknife Lee 10")
Pop Muzik (Popmart Mix)
Lady With The Spinning Head
Until The End of the World

Non U2 songs;

ATB - 9pm (Till I Come)
Underworld - Born Slippy
Safrid Duo - Played-A-Live
Coldplay - Clocks
Daft Punk - One More Time
Daft Punk - Aerodynamic
Daft Punk - Digital Love
Daft Punk - Crescendolls
Darude - Sandstorm
DJ Sammy - Boys of Summer
DJ Sammy - Sunlight
DJ Sammy - Heaven

Paul Van Dyk - Nothing But You

etc etc

For the scenario described in the first post, it'd be 'Staring At The Sun'

I can't drive yet, but, if I was driving back at like 3am i wouldn't mind hearing Stay (Faraway, So Close!) even more so if it was the Craig Armstrong Version.
