i think it only intensifies the song...but to each his own

it takes away from the intensity I feel.If the song is powerful enough (and it obviously was/is) then why not deliver the message through the song without the 3 minute ramble in the middle.

the headband would have been a good enough statement just sitting on his head. No need for the 2 minute translation. It bored me

Maybe it was necessary for casual fans. My mate's wife who came along with us had no clue what he was on about, even with the speech. Certainly didn't pick up on the Guantanemo (sorry for sp) Bay reference during Bullet - she kept on about 'what's he doing on his knees pretending he's God or something'....

PS To answer topic - more like Zoo or Pop would suit me. 2 political tours is enough. Few mentions but that's it please...

what was the other political tour? Vertigo seems to be the most overt of all of them....and only a portion of show was political

Elevation had a fair bit; more in some shows than others. That was the one I was referring to.

It needs to be MORE political because 1 person still dies every 3 seconds from poverty.

can't tell if this is cynicism or sincerity. the cynic in me laughs at this and the U2 fan in me agrees with you

For anyone who wants a big stage show forget it. Its widely believed the reason they dont do these anymore, was the broken lemon incident during Popmart.
