Hey friends,

I just noticed that most U2 albums have a Track #4 that is very solid and often underrated to non-hardcore fans:

Into the Heart
Rejoice
Like A Song...
The Unforgettable Fire
Bullet The Blue Sky (this is overplayed to many of us live U2 addicts)
Hawkmoon 269
Until the End of the World
Lemon
If God Will Send His Angels
Walk On (okay, this one is a single, the exception)
Love and Peace or Else (mixed reception)

Whaddya think?

Some are good some are weak...they have nothins special in common.

Very true. They are all hidden gems, or diamonds in the ruff... your choice. And Walk On is underestimated now-a-days. Well, I guess they all are... I haven't heard them in the car (on the radio) in a while. Not since Endless Deep. You remember that topic, right?

There are some really good songs on that list, but I think we here @ U2start could probably make the argument for every single track number!

Maybe the band's favourite number is 4. Except for Rejoice, they're all pretty solid studio and live and stand up pretty well to today's 'pop-crap'.

I have often done this with many of my favorite bands/artists. Doing this with first and last songs is kind of obvious, #3 songs aren't too bad either

all of them are great and some of them certainly underrated specially "like a song" & "rejoice".

Certainly there's some great work in this list, some not so great. Bullet, Lemon, UTEOTW, Love and Peace, TUF are standouts for me.

it's just fun to do these little "exercises"lol, as a good and fairly quick recap of the band's sound rather than going through every song on every album, which is fun too. Earlier this year I made a playlist starting with U2:3 going all the way to the Window in the Skies single, included singles, b-sides and obviously albums, an exhausting but fun experience!

I'd say the same for the #5s....

Out of Control
Fire
Drowning Man
Promenade (ok maybe not ALL the #5s lol...)
Running To Stand Still
All Along The Watchtower (although does that really count?)
Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
Stay (Faraway, So Close!)
Staring At The Sun
Kite
City Of Blinding Lights

Compare those lists I say
