Does bono have a problem shouting "Gloriaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" at the opening of the song "Gloria" when performing the song live? I.E: Is there a live version of this song that includes "the shout"?
Thanks!

I don't remember the album version having Bono shout "Gloriaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" ...unless of course, which is entirely possibly, I'm living in a world of my own lol...

lol fair enough. I haven't listened to October in a while I'm afraid...I've got live versions in my head, where Bono usually says "must be Gloria..." or something...

Yeah, that's interesting...live, in place of the shout, he usually just introduces it ("This is Gloria!"). I think the shout works on the album, because of the way the song fades in, but live, it simply has to start with Larry's drumming. It would be interesting to hear how they could manage it live. If Bono's voice can take it.

Although I enjoy the rewarding discussion, I'd even more enjoy an answer to the relatively simple question: Is there a live version (any version at all) that is opened the same way as the album version?
