You're not the first to have told me that...

I'm terrible at acknowledging if I'm good at something, I dunno why...

If there's a hole to pick, I'm onto it lol.

Cheers mate

You have talents, they're given to you to use them and do something with it.

'Bout time I started finding them then...

Nah, I know what you mean completely!

This is the point where I post a drunken á capella of Wild Honey and you all think "oh god, why did we boost his confidence?!"

I would, just haven't got a backing track available - THAT is fun to play on the ol' LP, I'll tell you now!

The solo is kinda easier because the high notes generate the power in themselves, the problem I find with the solo in Eb is that I can't get enough oomph effects wise, I've tried switching between the Wah-ness you hear here and a more just gritty distorted tone, but it just doesn't sound right...hence I stick with the wah. In all shocking honesty, this is why I need a stomp-box or two lol.

I have no idea what you said.... but if I ever find the backing track, I know exactly who to send it to!

Ahahaha. Basically, a) the Elevation version of The Fly is in a different key to other tours, and the solo is easier to replicate because it's higher and so (I don't think that) effects aren't quite as important because it stands out more. However to do that, b) I need some extra-effects pedals, 'cause I've only got the one which is like a utility one? I can create loads of different ones and switch between them, but it's a bit clunky and not as effective as having loads of different pedals all with different things at the click of a button. For now, I stick with the same effect/tone throughout when I play songs, and the only thing I do usually is use the pedal to either utilise Wah or increase/decrease the distortion.

I hope that explains it

And yeah, you find the BT, you send me ASAP! lol.

yep.... any possiblility we could have a U2Start creation. Someone said they picked up their bass and started playing... and I could sing! We can record our bits, and someone mix them together! Now that would be cool.

Oh fo sho

I won't be mixing though lol. Start out with the drums, where do we have a drummer around?! Then shove a bass line over the top (Bret was up for that) and then whoever was willing to stick a guitar line over the top and hey mr. bombastic we're on our way! 2 singing parts from yours truly and anyone else interested and we may just have ourselves something!

I'm forgetting the rhythm guitar too, although that's dependant on what version we're copying - if it's Elevation-esque, no worries, but if it's not, that's another thing to consider. Lol.
