Very good! The sound of the recording wasn't the greatest, but I love your tone! It's great. Nice playing too, there were some rough spots, but with a little practice it will be perfect! I loved it! Good job mate.

Cheers chap, means a lot .

Being fairly unorthodox, I just play and sing how I do at the time, if you know what I mean - it's not like the more I practice, the better I get, I'm just really temperamental. Once I've worked a tune out, it's there in my head and I remember everything, but it's more a case of unlocking it all at once lol. Sometimes I'll do a brilliant cover of something and suddenly think "damn, I'd better record this before I lose the vibe" and then when I stick the mp3 mike on, I'm bollocks lol. So fucking irritating ...

...I guess everyone's similar to an extent though. Just listening to UTEOTW, the moments where I seem to stop are actually because I've forgotten what I'm doing lol , although during the muted guitar part on the G string (which still doesn't sound right...), I actually just stopped to turn the speakers up slightly for the BT in case you were wondering . And on the solo, I always forget where to start lol...

EDIT - dammit all, I'm turning into Nick, Yuri and Mark with all these bloody smileys lol...

What do you mean you don't know where to start the solo? And the muted g string part (sorry for my reference to a g-string)

Lmao. I mean for some reason, on UTEOTW when I get to the solo, I complete forget where to start, and on the muted guitar part for the 2nd verse (and middle 8), it just doesn't sound right but I'm told that's where to play it.

Hmm. You'll get the solo, just listen to Slane a couple times and you'll know when it starts. I still don't know what you mean about the g-string But I'll do a cover soon and maybe it will help?

Don't worry chap, I know how to & can play it no problem, it was one of the first songs I taught myself lol, I just mean it's part of my nature, the mind wonders - if I were to sound poetic, you'd say I'm getting lost in the music, but actually it's 'cause I'm looking out of the window at a passing car lol...and the muted guitar part I refer to is what he plays on the middle 8 and 2nd verse lol! Where it's just one note at a time, sliding up and down the string - muted guitar, 'cause he just has his 4th finger on the string whilst the rest of the hands cover the string. I'm probably not calling it by the correct term, but I'm not one for technicalities lol.

I think I know what you're referring to, but I think I play it a little differently.

Probably lol, I play things different to a lot of people. Like I say, I'm not big on technicalities - I look for things to sound right, but if I can get close to how it's genuinely played, all the better.

K guys. New covers, some acoustic, some electric, some crap, some good.

My brother left his 12 string laying in the computer room so I decided to make some clips with it. I know Edge doesn't use a 12-string for these songs, but whatever, it sounds nice.

Don't be too critical about my voice, I only get to practice when no one else is home!

These vids I'm sort of upset with. Once again, youtube has crapped up the sound. It sounded a lot better and cleaner in my room, but oh well. We'll have to deal!

I'll post the link to New York soon. It's taking a while to "process"

Cool stuff chap, nice jobs on all 3! Don't worry about your voice, sounded fine . Remember, there's only one Bono, but on that note, everyone's natural voice is just as unique
