I've got Sarajevo (the DVD) but the sound is so crap that I gave up on it. But great show from what you can see. Santiago's a lot better as is Tel Aviv, apart from the echo on Mofo. I think the next lot of bootlegs / DVDs I get are gonna be Pop and Lovetown - I've got too much freaking Vertigo.

Did you never download the Sarajevo audio from here? It's a fairly excellent broadcast. Better than Tel Aviv (definitely after this upcoming upgrade)

Irving Plaza has also came out sounding better after a fresh re-encode

Great job Gerard. Luckily you did Point Depot too. Started it last week, but didn't download that quick...not enough seeders. Doesn't need to now anymore..

Well you got to Irving Plaza before I did. I've got the original FLAC rip from the DVD, which I was ready to upload a few nights ago. About the Sarajevo broadcast from here (or anywhere), I've never downloaded it or even tried to listen, but now you've upgraded it I'm more than happy to grab a copy. I think that certain DVD is the only one that exists, and no pro-shots or whatever.

Only the official pro-shot exists i'd imagine. The upgrade is just awesome. The Irving Plaza I uploaded is from the pre-FM source so I think it's slightly different to whats found on the DVD.

My Irving Plaza is decent enough and I've put it to Apple Lossless as well for the classic.

I'm thinking of upgrading an early show like Devore 1983 from a DVD rip to 192 if it isn't already. Can you do anything about the sharp fade-in to Elevation of the South Bend '01 show as well like re-rip just that one song - it makes it sound completely like it's just dropped off.

If it's not on the list i've made and you know your DVD's source then get cracking. If it's a big improvement then post it as an upgrade. If not then just chuck it in here

Will do. So like this - I think it is?

Cable TV > VHS HI-FI master > ANA-Master (Sony XR-80 Metal) > Teac W-416 cassette player > Extreme 5.1 sound card > HD Maxtor > CD wawe editor

I've also got Birmingham 1987 here ripped from some FLAC files. I haven't edited it or anything - just ripped in Foobar to 192 MP3, so I can get that uploaded next weekend too.

That 26th PD, is that a new source or a new encoding? Because the show posted here is 256 kbps, so I wonder if the results will be better.

the one on here may be a higher bitrate but we can't be sure of its lineage. It may have been encoded and re-encoded etc. 256 and 192 can't be split on sound quality. At least you'l know where my version came from
