A new topic, because when I ask this in the General Chat, no-one sees it.

I got a nice music-editing program, and I've been working a lot with it to get to know it.
I just 'remastered' WOWY from the mentioned Chicago-show, a 4-star audience here.

Please tell me if this one really has improved compared to the original. If so, I'm planning to remaster the entire show...

Great I'm curious...

just had a listen and here's my thoughts. I love the original. Your version definitely seems clearer but I think it lacks the depth of the existing version. There also seems to be a lot of hiss on your version. Would it be possible to hear your go at a more upbeat song from the show? Electric Co. or Love and Peace for eg

Not bad for a first go but I think you've picked a tough show to try and better.

Yep, I'll try Love and Peace...reporting back within a few minutes, just need to edit and upload it.
I'll try to remove the hiss by the way.

Thanks for helping me with my first steps into music editing...

Here it is, also dehissed: http://www.savefile.com/files/1413314

You're right about the show, it's a very good recording already...I started to add some bass to it, but soon I got 'sucked in'..

Now that is more like it Casper. That is definitely better than the existing version. It sounds like a soundboard. It's louder, less muddy and the bass is thumping strong. I like that a lot. Only downside is that the crowd ambient seems to have been lost and when you do hear them they sound slightly 'electronic' or something. The actual music though is a great improvement. His is also gone

Note to everyone : Download Love and Peace, compare and give Casper your feedback.

Thanks a lot, Gerard! That really motivates me to go on with it
I did Vertigo, BTBS, 40 and Bad in the same way. I might upload them in a ZIP-file with Rapidshare, or I upload the whole show soon.

Thanks again!

EDIT: you're right about the crowd, they sound as if they're under water or something like that. I'll see if I can change that...

Bad is the one everyone will want to hear so definitely get that one up for analysis.

Allright, I'll do. I solved the audience problem, I'll do Bad and put the link here (the old and the new one, so people can compare easier without having to download the entire show).

I'll report back within 5 minutes...

Remastering Project
Please help if you want

So, I'm planning to remaster this show (and some others too), but I need your help. I remastered Bad from Chicago 2005-09-21, rated here as a 4-star audience. Please download this package, which contains Bad (Old Version) and Bad (Remastered Version). Give me your thoughts. If they're good, I will remaster the entire show in the way I did Bad.
