I saw them in Hamburg last night for the first time after a six years break. An amazing gig, they certainly grew in these years. What I liked most, is that you can feel how much fun they have when they are on stage. I might upload my recording, still undecided, I'll check what other versions pop up.

Yeah definitely, I mean I've not had the chance to see them (yet), but you listen to bootlegs such as the Brixton show, and it's so refreshing, kinda like listening to a Lovetown show - they're just buzzing about playing their music, and (for another comparison) it's nice to see them having great faith in their material. Thing I always like about Chris Martin as a frontman, everytime he gets on a stage, it's as if he's simply overflowing with positive energy and can't help himself. Great stuff.

Good to know. I have liked the boots that have been surfacing. I'll keep my eyes out for yours or some other version

Exactly my thoughts. I understand people who can't stand his hyperactive attitude but it's great fun live. A simple illustration of that is In my place from last night :-)

Yep, the show design was pretty cool, reminded me of a mix Pink Floyd/ZooTV. Simple backdrops, simple screens - huge illuminated lampions, lasers, fluorescent butterflies coming from the ceiling. Looked great.

Great video, Yeah. Funny how many people you can see holding up cameras and video cameras when he goes out to that side-stage thingy.

Just some random youtube vid. I thought about the camera thingy, too last night. Must be somehow frustrating for the artists. Before everyone had a cam or mobile or anything, people used to sing, clap and generally freak out when the performes walked into the audience - now everybody stands still to get a good shot.

"Where's my public? My God, they've deserted me! This is a crisis. We'd better do something. Stir up some publicity or something. 'Bono in under-age sex orgy.' That should do it. I want my public back."
- Bono, December 1987
