Rick Rubin had a go but was ditched so mr Danny is doing the buisness now

The song, who´s name unfortunetly remains unknown
Are further explained as too having a "powerful" bass line
And Lilywhite seemed very excited over the track in question
I translated it so u blame me if u cant understand somethin *LOL*
Dunno if u heard this already
And Im not quite sure how that goes with goin 2 France
But at least it might give an idea about the sound of the new album

Sounds good; I like psychidelica (Radiohead, maybe even Muse), the only thing I don't like is the part about the african influences, I hate that...
Seems like they also gonna put some dance influences back, because it has a strong bass line (I say: back to the 90's! )

Producer Rick Rubin has reportedly been working with U2 on new material for their next album in the south of France.[1] On September 12, 2006 it was reported on the official U2 website that the band was working on a new album in Abbey Road Studios.
Speaking at Midem 2008, Paul McGuinness had said that the new album should be released in October 2008.[1]

Ah good, I like Window In The Skies but I wouldn't want an entire album to sound like the flippin' Beatles...
And by Danny I assume you mean the one and only Lanois? Is Steve Lillywhite involved?

Danny Lanois would be good...Isn't Eno involved? The morocco sessions was with Lanois and Eno...it would be great, like the old days.

From what I know about Rick Rubin, he was surely not responsible for making it sound like the Beatles...I actually believe that he doesn't work that much...he just happend to be in the right places in the right time.

If that's the case, I apologise to RR, but then again we don't know for sure either way. I just prefer the stuff they've made with other producers...

About Rubin...he worked with Linkin Park on their Minutes To Midnight album. He gave them a more mature sound but it was directly linked to U2. Rubin has a specific sound but U2 should improve. That can't be done with Rubin, I think, although he was responsible for Electrical Storm.

See his work with the Peppers...changed drastically from 1991 to now...he probably had nothing to do with the sound. Maybe he helps woth the structure. I don't know about Linkin Park though.

He worked with the Peppers?? That's something I didn't know while I own every album since Californication. I don't like their early material...so actually Rubin made me like them lol
