From what I have heard from the new record and the stuff on Daniel Lanois site, I hear a lot of Hendrix, Beatles, Bowie and Arcade Fire and Achtung Baby U2. Eclectic bands to intertwine but who better than U2 right?

I have been a DJ for 7 years in Manchester and London in the UK and the big players in this scene probably dont even know who Bono is. I have also been heavily involved in this scene and it is a VAST scene which spans the world- its fairer to say IT has influenced U2- not the other way round!!

they might not have influenced them but i am almost 100% positive that your big players in the UK know who Bono is. If you are a musician you pretty much know. I myself have been DJing since 1997 and I knew of U2 (not Bono in particular) but U2 and the songs long before breakbeats/trance/ progressive house.

yea the clip of "walk out into the streets' sounds like an angry version of Window in the Skeis just kidding but i want the agressive sound back! make vertigo sound like its for 8 year olds.

the latest video from U2.com with Adam chatting to fans outside the studio isn't working on either my computers. is anyone else having trouble with it? i'm guessing and hoping it's a problem with U2.com and I hope they fix it! sorry if this is in the wrong topic
