well, I wanted to know how many of us, had the pleasure of saying:
"I shook hands with Bono or Edge or Larry or Adam"
or
"we had a few pints with the boys the other day"
or
"I was waiting outside, they came out and signed my lp/paper/cd/poster/t-shirt"
or
"I was just walking around whatever city or street and one of the boys passed by in car/motorcycle"
or
"I was pulled to the stage"

whatever... haha!
tell me about your encounter with the band or any of the members or how close have you been....
I have to confess that it is my ultimate dream, that someday I'll have a pint with them in a totally natural situation (if you could ever call natural to such an event!!)

when U2 come to Brazil next year I went to teh airport to take some pics of U2's plane...and I saw a lot of cars coming...I realized that they were insedie the vans and I went there and started to search for they....in the last van...Bono and Edge open the black window of the van and shoed their hands to me and 2 girls that were with me....that's the closest I could was of them..I couldn't take pics because they were too fast...

you're right.......
the closest I've been is outside the hotel they where staying at here in BsAs during Vertigo, I waited outside 3 hours, then word came that maybe one of them would come out... a couple of minutes later we found out they went out through a back gate off to the stadium to do the sound check.....

that was pretty much it.....
closest I've been was at the concert itself... a few mts away during the first 6 songs...
