New Years Day...

WTF is going on there?!

This must have definately been their Shrooms period

I love how Bono tries to get back in with the song

"I..er...w, will...beginagain!!"

Hilarious!

Never noticed this before. You've got me curious, I'll check it out.

Is it just me or is there nothing really wrong with this performance other than one bum note from The Edge. It's as good as any other performance of the song. Always thought that people slatedthis performance morethan was needed. Just my 2 pennies worth.

They had just added the song back into the setlist and they screwed it up. i think Edge starts the piano part changes to early and Adam dosent follow. If you saw the original Showtime broadcast of Mexico City Popmart you will hear even a worse screw up. Edge totally screws up a part on ISHFWILF and Bono laughs and Edge smiles. Sometimes you just zone out and screw up.

Amen. and there ain't nothing wrong with that. I like screw ups. You can still hear a few of those bum notes on the Mexico DVD.

hahahahaha

Adam screws up the SAME NOTE in 1987-11-07 Denver.

He must get nervous during shows that will eventually become classic U2 bootlegs!!!

we dont have enough of these cock ups. Theres a good one knocking about on youtube froma vertigo show. The boys are just starting '40' and the key is just way way too high and listening Bono try and sing it is hilarious. Inthe end he has to get Edge and Adam together to sort out the key. Funny stuff.
