there our plenty of fakes of those headphones on ebay. You have to watch out. I get them off play.com for £!5 which is very reasonable (considering Apple sell those white ones for more)

I always do that, burn a concert DVD and say, I'll just check it out. But then I spend two hours watching it. At least it works!

Hey, I've read your input on the tech topic and was impressed. I learned some great things. Now onto my iPod Touch recommendation:
Music: Depends on your collection. Do you listen to 500 songs or 5000? I have 1700 songs at 9 GBs. Seeing my free space % go over 50% worries me. But that's just me. I will talk more about that in a little bit. When you're changing the volume be sure to have only the volume changing finger on the screen.
Video: Same thing as music with the volume. Awesome quality for the video quality. Also depends on the quality of the vid on the comp too. Vids can be deleted on the iPod too (by sliding your finger to the left on the selected video, then the delete option will appear). You can zoom in or out with the zoom button on the top right (when tilted to properly view the video). Only two options: Full Screen or Widescreen
I've got 5 videos at 500 MBs each, in mp4. If each vid is about 1 GB, wantig 5 GB of video may limit your audio choices.
Photos: same as the photos can be put on any other iPod. it's cool, but who's really going to use an iPod for pix?
iTunes Mobile: Ability to buy audio from iTunes from your iPod. Only audio, which stinks.
Safari: Depends on your connection. Sometimes if the site is too large*, it may send you back to the home screen. You can also play select audio (ones supported by Quicktime).
Calendar: Neat little feature. Can put in events if you wanted to.
EMail: Yahoo, gmail, mac mail, or aol mail can be easily set up. As for other email clients, it may be harder. One of the best extra features.
Contacts: More of an iPhone option.
YouTube: Videos can be looked up for viewing. I would like to include that if the video's quality is bad, blame that on the video and YouTube, not your iPod.
Stocks: LOL
Maps: Google Maps for your iPod Another awesome thing.
Weather: based on Yahoo Weather. Preferably better if info was based off of the Weather Channel. Just about every town is available for forecasts.
Clock: Like the old iPods. Cities available through search. Can't use personal music for alarms though.
Calculator: Like the Windows Standard Calc. Would be better if scientific was available (I'm a student)
Notes: Another cool feature. Kinda like Notepad with Windows. Background is a yellow notepad.
No Games.
Internet only Wireless.
Has gapless playback (depends on song and iTunes setting), awesome sound.
Screen hasn't scratched for me yet (I've had mine for around 6 months).
Screen and buttons are responsive all the time except***. ***-running music while "typing on the iPod" at the same time.
Doesn't necessarily occur all the time, but also depends upon internet connection.
You also receive a cloth to clean fingerprints off the screen. Works effectively. Even better with a bit of saliva (gross, but true).
Operating system is awesome. No changes needed.
Apps listed and explained above.
Not usable as a portable hard drive (not sure about this though, but I doubt it)
I use Windows XP, not sure if that's a Media Center PC or not.
I think the only thing that doesn't show up for audio is lyrics
The square button returns you to the home screen (with all the apps)
If you leave it lying around, it won't be there when you get back. LOL. Yes, it can be locked. Just like the other iPods with such feature.
How many hours do you have? If my math is correct, you are able to fit 7250 minutes with 10 GBs. Based of a 7:15 minute song which was 10 MB.
My concern: if it feels too warm, put it down. Let it rest. We can't trust lithium batteries anymore (or at least i can't anymore, especially after reading this topic).
Only thing needed to buy: cheap charger which works awesome.

only thing is not to swing it aroung like roger daltrey of the Who does with a microphone (probably only pertains to me)
You will be amazed at what this can do.

Probably having the music, a few videos and being able to check my Gmail is cool too - as that's what I'd like.
The Media Center PC is a special XP version, which lets you record TV, play music etc all in one application.

Great, I'm working on the Cork show from JT. Downloaded the FLAC and remastered some bits, to see how it sounds. Way better already than the 128kbps show posted here. Might be uploaded next week.
