Mine was the TJT and Ruttle&Ham period .... his voice was simply wonderful!!!!
The least for me remain the Pop era .... in fact he has no voice

I loved the Zoo TV era for his voice, and his showmanship was truly revolutionalised.

The belting of TJT tour was also great of course.

I think his voice is over criticised in the pop era, right enough some nights are really bad, but its great to know his voice has been on a constant rise over the past 5 years.

Ma favorite Bono voice is from JT/ZooTV eras and the one from NZ/Australia/Japan/Hawaii part of Vertigo Tour.

Yes I agree Bono's voice was the best during the Zoo TV tour but after that his voice became more and more badly, mostly during the Popmart Tour.
However it became better after 2000 and during the Elevation Tour and in 2005 on the Vertigo Tour his voice was brilliant again and reached new hights (Miss Sarajevo).
Nowadys, I think he sings different than in the 80's or early 90's but his voice has really become strong and very good again.

Bono's voice is really strong during the ZooTV period! But still i love bono's voice during josh and love town songs like streets, with or without you were best during that period.

Zoo TV Tour voice, plus definitely Vertigo Tour! He had a fantastic voice during Vertigo!!

ZooTV and ATYCLB are the best periods of Bono's voice.
PopMart was weak, but I also think that his voice was not very good during Vertigo...
Boy, TUF and JT are in between.

Best = Elevation Tour

Worst = 2nd July 2005,Hyde Park Live 8........this Mid - Atlantic accent he seems to put on.Listen to the speech before One.Yer Man can't decide if he's American or Irish.....!!

Best = 1986 self aid, Lovetown, ZooTV and Vertigo 2006

Worst = Elevation, Popmart, Joshua Tree tour (sorry I didn't like his altering of high notes to be sung in a kermit the frog type of voice - he moved away from that technique somewhat in lovetown.)
