Hey guys, Im having some trouble downloading with rapidshare. I have tried numerous occassions today and yesterday but its still not working. First of all Im not a premium user and when I get to the page where you have to enter the code i am greeted with a message saying 'you have entered too many incorrect codes, please re try in a few minutes'.

I haven't downloaded anything in about a week and I cannot recall entering an incorrect code, yet lately im always presented with this message. Is any one experiencing the same problem, or know a way around it other than becoming a premium user?

thanks
steve

If you're sharing an IP address that could possibly be the cause, otherwise I'm afraid I can't help. If you're going to download a lot becoming a premium user even for a few days is well worth it.

He is a premium user. That was my first thought about the IP address. It still could be that if he's sharing an IP with someone with a premium since you're limited to 25GB every 5 days.

This has nothing to do with your IP address, this error is probably either an issue with your browser or with Rapidshare itself.

Try using a different browser (Firefox Internet Explorer), maybe it'll pay out.

I'm having similar trouble, and it also keeps telling me that I've already got a download in progress on my IP address and telling me to wait for a long time - I downloaded Opera as a new browser but I'm still having the same problems. Does anyone know if this is because I'm using the Free option and thus would have to get a Premium account or not?

it happens from time to time. I'm having problems with one particular show myself. I had a premium account for a month and it was flawless. You aren't gonna get the best service if not paying. Get Slane first though. .

Ah ok, cheers - I appreciate that a lack of payment isn't going to make the service great, but a) I can't get a Premium account because I have no means by which to pay and b) I have an inherent distrust for paying over the internet (or in fact, by any means other than face to face), misplaced as it may be, so best plan would be to wait a day or 2 and try again?

And to quote Dan, lol. Even he's dropped the Slane gag lol! At least, he appears to have...

Try a different show or indeed just wait a few more hours. Paypal uses military encryption (don't know if that makes it any good but i've never had any issues with it)

Yeah, I've tried 2 bootlegs ("1989-12-31 - Dublin, Ireland - Point Depot" and "2004-11-22 - New York, New York - Empire Fulton Ferry State Park") and both come up with different timers i.e. the Point Depot one sometimes tells me to wait 103 minutes and the New York one says wait just over an hour.

Argh. Damn my skintness lol...
