l beleive POP is oneof U2s best albums but they seem to have buried it along with Zooropa, what are your thoughts on those two albums

The most creative U2 albums, that's for sure.

These were times when U2 became music Picasso.

Many didn't get that music, but I think that they're both fantastic!

I really like the Zooropa album, it is really good. Don't like the Pop album so much though.....

I liked POP, it showed how they were changing with the times, and that they could stand up there with the big names of the time. Zooropa is another good CD, some good hits on it, but it usually goes unnoticed.

I love POP but not so much Zooropa cause the only song i listen are Stay, Lemon ,Numb and The first time...

The recording of POP took much longer than anticipated and I don't think they got the production quite right as it had to be rushed towards the end of the time in the studio as the Popmart tour was coming up. The first few weeks of the tour suffered as well as a result of the extra time spent in the studio. It's definitely an album where the songs sound much better live than they ever managed in the studio. 'Last night on earth' and 'Gone' are awesome played live.
Zooropa as well is vastly underrated.

Those two are actually the ones I play the most. AB is also my all time fave, but I still have to be in the mood for it. Pop & Zoo I can play anytime anywhere... love 'em! The mad glam/euro edge to them just hooks me in every time, and look at the videos we got out of Pop! Discotheque and Lemon - TOP SHELF!

Cheers ~Ultra

Zooropa and Pop are simply the best things ever. Zooropa is THE album and Pop has some great hits (yes, I even love Miami and The Playboy Mansion)

I can only in agreement.

Together with October, these are the weakest albums to me. Pop could have been good, Zooropa has some magnificent songs and some terrible songs.
