here a few months ago a group of friends (4 guys and a 17 year old girl) were out and about when they were held up at knife point by a masked gang. The males were heald down whilst the girl was raped. Worse still, the rapist took the girls mobile phone and phoned her mother to tell her that he'd just raped her daughter. And we are meant to forgive those guys.
The guy ended up with a bullet in each knee
What a horrible story. Today here in Indiana, a 14yr old girl was found in the river. A guy who's in his 20s admitted to the murder. He took her from her bus-stop. They're not quite sure the motive though they say she wasn't raped. Anyway, back on topic. Considering I'm from the states, I have a bad feeling about Hugo Chavez, although I admit I don't know a ton about the man, so I'm not going to judge him until I find out more about him. But I do have feelings of suspicion towards him.
Well Mr. Chavez is very friends with our current president (our dear Mr. Ahmadinejad )...and yep, they make a good team!
Ahmadinejad is also refered to as a president who works for the people and is for the people and everything...but well, I don't believe it! He makes promises that he soon forgets (yea, I got my last sentence from the song ) and all that he's done has been weakening the people :-\ If he is similar to Chavez, then that gives you quite a good description of Hugo!

Good point. If he's like Ahmadinejad I've got my mind made up!

well, I was raised in Venezuela, I was born in Argentina, and lived at Venezuela for 19 years, I'm 25 now...
Let me tell that Chavez is no saint of my devotion... as far as I know, for what I have lived, seen and heard from my friends still living in Venezuela is this: he's building up a DICTATORSHIP !!!! following the steps of Mr. Castro....
that's what I believe is going on in Venezuela....
the thing is that, for the past 40 years, in Venezuela, politicians did nothing but steal and gave non to the people.... this guy chavez, is giving the people at least, the crumbs from his table, wich sincerely is nothing, but to someone who never got anything from anybody at all that is something...
people are geeting poorer, there is starvation, political persecution, and social hate...
he managed to crack and enlarge the gap between rich and poor, and to confront fiercely this to social groups....
and pretty much the situation is like this: If you're supportive with the government and manage to be smart enough to get a job wiht them you get very veyr very rich in really short time.. if not, may God have mercy of you...

Wow...well that is pretty much what we have had here. The two previous presidents...well, they did good stuff but there was a lot of stealing at their time and Ahmadinejad always blames them and says that he will bring the money from oil to people's houses and not let anyone steal...but the guy is not a diplomat! He isn't ready to run a country and is causing all sorts of problems...and there is still no oil-money in our houses!

they are very "close friends" if you know what I mean.... they've got the same kind of speech... they blame everything on the past...
In Venezuela there hasn't been any money for the people from the oil profits eh is doing... he's actually giving it all away in order to make some international lobby...
and he spends a very big sum of money in propaganda in his favor, I recently went to Venezuela to visit my buddies and spent 3 weeks there, and let me tell you that in Caracas there's not a single wall free of propaganda paid by the government in favor of Chavez...
it's a real pitty if you figure the huge amount of money used for that...
i don't want to bore you guys... I could spend the whole day pointing out things I saw in my recent trip there....
but basicly, people are scared to go against the government, you can loose your job, get kidnapped, and all sorts of awfull things like that....
it's a shame...

Exactly my point. Being elected for 15 years is no democracy, therefore I don't see him as a president. A president is supposed to be elected in a democratic way.
As I said, It just shows how democracy is vulnerable. All you need is to give the right people what they want and they will agree to anything.

And FYI he presented a bill at congress to make some changes in the National Constitution, the one he wrote some 8 years ago...
the changes he wants to make are really insane, but I'm going to point out just for you, one of them:
Presidents in Venezuela before he was elected, had a 5 year term in office and if they wanted to be reelected they had to wait for another term to go by, they were'nt allowed to have consecutive terms....
well, as you can guess, he changed that and now he wants to be able to be reelected till he gets bored of ruling or he runs out of oil... for ever and ever.... LOL !!
another change he made was that nowadays, children between 2 and 18 now are property of the State, and the state decides what to do with your children...
as Ironic as it may sound, parenthood is now in the hands of the government and not in the hands of parents... the state can take your kid away, becouse the law says they can, and the recommendation is that the kid if taken away, should spend as a minimum 2 days a month with his parents...
I believe you here have something to argue for a while!!!
This is the most important US election in 200 years, i think its a fair assumption to make.
Now Bush is obviously the worst president in history the main reason being...
Bush is a globalist, just like his Dad, and the globalists are using terrorism to erode all of our rights.
Just look at the war on terror, it's a hoax! A total hoax! It is a war that cannot be won, but it gives governements excuses to tighten their noose around our necks.
America although i love her with all my heart, America is headed to a very dark place, and there are only 3 men fit for the job of president.
The rest are controlled by the CFR/Trilateral comission if you look them up you'll come to see they control a terrifiying amount of decisions made by the US Govt, including the war on Iraq.
CFR states its goal as destroying soverignty and spreading government power.
This is the missing block American voters need to discover before it is too late.

that's just disgusting!
Reminded me when he shut down the opposite TV station..they even showed that in Israel!
so whomever knows him, doesn't like him.
I truly hope there will be a revolution in Venezuela but it will take some time.

In 2 weeks I'll be 18, and since my father is American, I can vote!
So I'll see who's gonna win in each party and then I'll vote..
Right now I think Obamah has my vote..but it's a little bit early to choose.
