    Goedenacht

    i'll find it
  6. OK I found it. It's from Manchester : 1982-12-02. It's a unique performance of the song (only 2 minutes long). The piano and bass kick in at the same time then Bono sings the first verse then Edge launches straight into the riff, then an improvised verse from Bono and more 'I will be with you again' etc etc

Not 100% wat your looking for but definatley the closest you will get. Heres the link :

    (it's an awesome soundboard)
  7. I'm sure there's a more recent version of it, more like 2000..
  8. I have this version from along time ago. I listen to it every single week at least twice. I love it.

You won't hold me hold me dowwwwwwwn... I... I will be free agaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiin...

By the way, I don't think it's been perrformed. At least on its entirety. Maybe the first verse or the shouts of the beggining (very similar to the shouts Bono makes live) reminds you to have heard teh whole version. I't unlikeyl

PS. Gerard, you're right. The closest version is the Manchester one. And it's only two mins long... What a shame. I love this version. It seems like the complete version which appeared on the War album, with the "So we're told this is the golden age"... part (my favorite part!). But it cuts off after 2 minutes...

Indeed the Manchester version seems to be a mix between the Album and the US Remix versions. What a tremendous shame it's only 2 mins long...
