1. Waht other guitars do you have?
2.What year is your Vox amp?

On the issue of Larrys drums, I think it would be cool if he got a custom emblem like Stewart Copeland, Tico Torres, and Steve Ferrone have on theres. (check out some recent Police, Bon Jovi, and Tome Petty videos)

What guitars do I have?
1976 Gibson Ltd Ed. Explorer (natural finish)
1997 Washburn EA20 Festival Acoustic (black finish)
1998 Fender "Eric Clapton" model Stratocaster (pewter finish)
2000 Danelectro DC-59 12-string electric (blue sparkle finish)
2002 Taylor Big Baby (autographed by Mr. Daniel Lanois! - natural finish)
2002 Rickenbacker 330 6-string (burgundy-glo finish)
2004 Gibson J-185 Jumbo 12-string acoustic (tobacco sunburst finish)
2004 Fender Telecaster Custom (MIJ) (black finish)
2006 Epiphone Les Paul "Music Rising" (black finish)
2007 Danelectro DC-59 6-string (black and white like Jimmy Page's =O)
2008 Epiphone Les Paul Standard "Slash" signature model (tobacco finish)

Ah yes... lest I forget... I have a Taylor GC-8 on the way. Natural finish and slot headstock... LOVELY guitar. Old school look with the slot headstock... Beatiful looks and even MORE gorgeous tone.

The Vox Pathfinder in the pictures that I posted is a 1998. It's a solid state practice amp. And in that, still has a warm and oddly HUGE sound to it. The other amp I use for playing out is a (I think) mid-1990's purple Vox AX30TB. Nice sounding and the purple covering is cool as it comes. I also use my buddies 1965 Vox AC30TB from time to time. (It's got the tan-ish covering)

Cool if Larry got emblems on the bass drum? I guess it could be but this IS the guy that played a plain black drum kit from 1980-1995 and then an all white since 2000 to now... (since 1997, is you include the Popmart B-Stage kit).

He should get a bass drum head that simply says F.O.A.D. Now THAT would be VERY Larry to have that.

They could have made a cool "Vertigo" emblem, similar to that on Edge's black Line 6 Variax 700 (used for "The Fly"). That might have even been mentioned in production meetings but I think Larry is a bit more 'no nonsense' than that. I am sure that they had to talk Larry into the main stage kit used for PopMart (each drum was a different colour sparkle finish - the bass drum was gold sparkle, rack tom was red, floor toms blue/silver fade... and the main Brady snare drum and Peter Erskine piccolo snare staying their natural finish.)

That adage sounds like the reverse of "who is more the fool - the fool or the fool who follows him?"

(Got to love Star Wars lol...)

But with regard to your dedication to learning about Edge's sound, I think I've got a little way to go yet lol!

Star Wars rocks, n' stuff.

Learn the hows and why's of Edge's gear, you will. (Yoda Speak)

Perhaps master, but who can predict the ways of the force? Not even the Edge and his guitars can govern space and time (although try his hardest, he does)

Indeed The Edge can as Delay's are his thing and they are indeed a time-based effect. And in that, he uses more than one, in many cases runing a short delay with a longer delay for a stereo field.

Remember Bono's R&R Hall of Fame speech... that one must remember :

"do not pick a fight with somebody who, for a living, lives off hand-to-eye coordination. Dangerous, dangerous man, The Edge."
