And isn't it ironic, don't you think?

in fairness that wasn't the official album art for the single. That is only the remix single. The proper digipak cover had the right hand side of the trabant that made up one quarter of the overall image (along with The Fly, Mysterious Ways and Wild Horses)

I've never checked ALL the singles, in fact don't know many (if any!) at all lol! The only singles I can think of off the top of my head are the AB era singles, so I'll just leave it at albums;

Best album art - The Joshua Tree, end of. I mean, I like AB, Zooropa, Pop etc. but JT just nails it - reserved, yet epic. Anton's finest moment yet.
Worst album art - Love the album, but it has to be October lol...

Best Album = Joshua Tree
Worst Album = October

Best Single = Red Hill Mining Town
Worst Single = Discotheque

Best Album: Achtung Baby (good mixture of colours/pictures etc)

Best Single: City Of Blinding Lights (great picture)

Worst Album: The Unforgettable Fire (the band are not on it)

Worst Single: Please (nothing to do with U2 really)

Hmm, might disagree about 'Please'. In my opinion the art fits perfectly to the song. I love it. But, opinions differ of course

This seems as good a place as any to ask a question about Boy. What is the deal with the other cover. I bought it years ago and instead of the iconic Peter Rowan cover it has this awful looking b&w drawings of the 4 members. What's the deal?

I read somewhere where U.S. censorship or some authority at the time deemed it inappropriate. They thought it would encourage pedophilia or something. Hence the god-awful cover.

That was my guess. Seems kind of tame compared to Blind Faith.
