yeah that is quite a stretch even for Bono. No way in hell can you slice it that 40 hadn't been played since 83, it closed every show of the 80's from 83 on! It was even played on Popmart with just guitar and vocals and then snippeted on Elevation

which I don't understand, it deserves a performance either acoustic or the "band" version. It was rehearsed numerous times and Bono even mentioned it in RS as one of his favorite songs. Agreed!
I believe that an acoustic version of ES would really sound amazing!!
they could leave Fisrt Time for ES!!!

Let's hope they re-work the live version for the next tour. The only live performance in Scotland was a bit awkward. Would definitely sound terrific if re-worked.
