The version of 1985-04-15 is really amazing, gotta love the snippets.

1985-05-26 is also great, really long version with over 15 minutes:
Bad / Ruby Tuesday (snippet) / Sympathy For The Devil (snippet) / Walk On The Wild Side (snippet) / Norwegian Wood (snippet) / You've Got To Hide Your Love Away (snippet)

i found an example of what i was talking about: listen to bad in the 1992-05-27 - Zurich, Switzerland - Hallenstadion show. the solo sounds like nothing ive ever heard before, unfortunetly i cannot find another version of bad that sounds like this. oh and i was woundering which show it is that u2 sings bad with some guy playing the fittle, i know its sarajevo but i cant seem to find it.

On 12th August 1993 - ZooTV / Zooropa era - U2 performed Bad with the violinist Jo Shankar for the London shows at Wembley. I'm pretty sure that Bad followed on from the Sarajevo link-up, which is why at the beginning of the song, Bono says "Goodbye Sarajevo".
A couple of years ago, if I remember correctly, @U2 called this as the best-ever performance of Bad. At the end of it, Bono sings 'The First Time' before Edge errupts into Bullet The Blue Sky - venomous, but brilliant. @U2 also named this the best performance of Bullet.
They are both phenomenally good performances of the songs. Bad with the violin is something else though.

Yeah there were some interesting versons of Bad on the Zoo tour, but I was never too keen on the use of the falsetto for the 'Wide Awakes', I preferred it when he belted them out as on the JT and Lovetown tours, but there were a few gigs where he screamed it out, Milan 92 and Washinton 92 are the two I know of, both great performances, does anyone know of anymore from this tour?

Can someone post for me a few those ones you guys have mentioned since my last post. That 15min version has me intrigued. Thanks if you can do all that for me in mp3.

i listened to the chicago 9-25-2005 version of bad and for the first time and it was absolutely epic. its so great to hear a band that has been around as long as u2 still willing to experiment so much. i found another great zootv version of bad:1992-06-15 - Rotterdam, Netherlands - Sportpaleis Ahoy
its not as good as Zurich but the sound quality is much better

I think the best version of Bad is the Rattle and Hum movie performance.

omg i just listened to the 12th August 1993 - ZooTV version of bad and when put in the context of the previous phone call to sarajevo it is absolutely heart wrenching

There are many different, powerful and heart-braking Bad's, each one has its own personality (xD), for me is very difficult to choose one, I only can choose one or two of each tour:

Unforgettable: 1985-04-15 East Ruthherford: lots of good snippets,18 minutes long!!, and 1985-03-08 Cow Palace (I don't remember the city, I think it's Daly City), great snippet of Norwegian Wood and great introduction.

Live Aid: this Bad deserves an space apart. One of best Bad's ever.

Joshua: 1987-05-15 East Rutherford, 1987-06-12 London (Biko!!), 1987-07-01 Leeds, 1987-07-22 Munich, 1987-11-01 Indianapolis, 1987-08-11 (Rattle & Hum's performance) ... there are so much!!

Lovetown: 1990-01-10 Rotterdam, absolutely awesome.

ZooTV: 1993-08-12 London, absolutely heart-breaking.

PopMart: I hate all of this Bad's, so I don't say any of them.

Elevation: 2001-05-27 Montreal and 2001-12-01 Tampa (Wild horses snippeted!!)

Vertigo: 2005-06-27 Dublin (emotional), 2005-09-21 Chciago and 2006-12-04 Saitama (Ruby Tuesday introducing to SBS!)

Cheers, salU2!
