Indeed it was custom made for the 'occasion'. Auerswald guitars is the same German co. that made all the 'interesting' shaped guitars for Prince, dating back to Purple Rain.

Adam had at least a fretless and a fretted version. But I've heard that there were actually 2 fretted versions. This makes sense as he's want a backup. But at at least $10K+ each... I've heard more... that is a lot of money.
