Now that I think about it, what a great time 2017, far away now... but epic, thanks to this album I finally got into the U2 community

Bono wrote the song 'Out of Control' on his 18th birthday. It is about a feeling of having no control. Nothing changes now that your eighteen and never does. Feeling the pain from his mothers death and having no control over that or anything else.
