1. Greetings fellow fans!

This was the first U2 tour I've missed in twenty years. I followed the reviews, and I'm kicking myself for not making a special trip. (I live rather far away, unfortunately.) I'd now like to download a handful a concert bootlegs to get a better sense of what I missed. Are there any consensus recommendations for 2015 concerts? (I'm looking for the best combination of performance and recorded sound.)

    Thanks in advance!

    Matty
  2. Chicago 5 is pretty good.

London 3 has an IEM recording, great setlist.
  3. Most of the performances are more or less the same, so the real decision comes down to setlist. Find one you like the look of and it's bound to have an excellent recording available.
  4. I love Chicago 5 as well, it has a great setlist, great show and an amazing recording.

Amsterdam 4 is up there as well, it has it all.

And of course the last two Paris shows are great to listen to.

  6. I have them all from this site, I have kept the opening night, the last night and Chicago on my iPhone... All 3 are superb
  7. Listening to Dublin 2 at the moment. Great show and crowd, Really good 'bad' / '40' but also has what I think the best band into of the tour during Out of Control. Hair Raising!
  8. I heard most of the shows. I was here for several setlist parties and I can tell you: there's nothing like Dublin 3. That is THE I+E show and consequently, bootleg. Great sound too now in the MLK source.

On this note, I'm really impressed with not only the audio engineers who designed the setup this tour, but also the dedicated tapers for their work. It's safe to say that nearly every show has at least a 3.5/4 star recording.
  10. My personal favorite is Paris 4. It's got a very standard set without a second slot song and Elevation on the B-Stage, but I like it because I find the audio mixing to be incredibly balanced (and high quality since the posted recording is essentially the HBO special).
  11. First night in NY. Probably because I was there. First October in 25 years. Great BTBS.
  12. The best setlist isn't necessarily the best concert, anyway... my faves still are:

    1- 2015-09-13 - Amsterdam
    2- 2015-05-15 - Vancouver
    3- 2015-12-07 - Paris
