Periscope streams & status in a liveshow topic
As you know, when there is a Mixlr audio stream, we will try to embed the player for it on the liveshow topic of the show. But what about video streams? From now on, we will also list Periscope accounts who will either likely Periscope around the show or are Periscoping at a particular moment. And the great thing is: the account will automatically change colour if they are live, allowing you to tap into the video stream right away.
This is how it will look (note how the second stream, some church service, is live!):
Our crew will add Periscope accounts to the list for each show. So if you know of a (stable) Periscope stream for a show, pass on the Periscope username to one of our staff to add it to the topic. This is also a great way to be the first to know when one of our post-show chats is live!
Instagram embedding
The second one is Instagram embedding. This works similar to embedding a tweet, simply paste the Instagram URL somewhere and our forums will automatically turn it into something nice:
