My second favourite band 's name is INXS (they are from Australia), and I also like to listen to The Beatles, R.E.M., Ex-Cranberries, Clannad,Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan,Depeche Mode, The Killers, Dire Straits, The Corrs...
I must say you have pretty good taste of music around these parts .
My favorite non U2-bands are Jack Johnson, Pink Floyd, Linkin Park, The Offspring, The Cardigans, Kent (Swedish band), Bryan Ferry, Eminem, and certain songs by a lot of musicians. At least the four first bands are sorted in order by how much I like them (the one I like the most would be Jack Johnson).
However, like most of you mentioned, no other band is even close to U2. Especially considering the element of live performances.
