Observações da performance : The verse Bono sings at the end of One Tree Hill is completely improvised; it is not a snippet. Part of a William Wordsworth poem is read at the start of Where The Streets Have No Name in tribute to the recently deceased Irish poet Samuel Beckett. This show features the first use of God Part II as an opener - the only other time it takes this role is on 5 January 1990 in Rotterdam.

Performance

Just great! It's especially great since Bono had serious throat problems just 8 days earlier in Amsterdam. After he had to leave the stage early because he forced his voice during "God Pt. 2", he was ordered by a doctor to keep his mouth shut for at least a month. Thank goodness he didn't follow up that advice. But maybe that's the reason why they start off this show in Dublin with "God Pt.2" ?
This concert is indeed one of their best. Everything is perfect: music, vocals, the way they play these songs....everything.
