Comments: For their final Japanese show, U2 shake up the set. Although Out Of Control opened the previous five shows, Gloria opens this one and I Threw A Brick and A Day Without Me are played for the only time in Japan. A Celebration, which had re-appeared the previous night, is played again tonight, with Bono claiming that with the exclusion of the previous night's performance, it hadn't been played in 1.5 years (it was actually played in March 1983). This turns out to be the last performance of A Celebration ever. Setlist and comment provided by U2gigs.com.

"You can't repeat yourself. Y ou can't rely on things that have been done before by anybode else, you've got to find new territory. So every time we go into the studio and every time we sit down to start talking about a live production, we ask ourselves the same question: 'What's never been done?'"

The cover art for No Line on the Horizon is a photograph of Lake Constance, taken by Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto; titled Boden Sea, it is one of 200 pictures in his Seascapes collection. The image was the inspiration for Bono's lyrics on the track "No Line on the Horizon".
