Performance:
The band was on fire that night...from Zoo to Still Havent Found they showed what Zoo TV was about! Even Better Than the Real Thing suffers a tad from the excessive backing track, but to me, it sounds like the Zoo TV machine up close. Glad to hear the Edge singing his heart out too at the intro, just as loud as Bono. Mysterious Ways rocked the house. Bono's falsetto intro, Edge creating sparks with his guitar, and the awesome power from the piano. I'll quote my girlfriend when she said "haha the guys in the audience are going crazy for the belly dancer onstage". One is dedicated to Sarajevo, which is nice. Unchained Melody sounds beautiful, as always. I'm surprised my speakers didn't explode during Until the End of the World, because I thought they were. The scream at the start of NYD was just so awesome, another definitive moment in this show. Dirty Old Town was fun to hear....kudos to Larry! TTTYAATW sounded almost unreal. Angel of Harlem was good, with a cool snippet of Hello Goodbye. The snippet of My Girl is the real highlight here. Like Unchained Melody, it sounds beautiful. They shouldve gone with this song instead of Dancing Queen for the rest of 1993. I gained new respect for When Love Comes to Town during my Joshua Tree phase, and it really rocked the place. Satellite of Love is good, maybe one of the weaker moments in the show. During Bad, Bono sings the Wide Awake bit in falsetto, which is really neat. BTBS is another one of those numbers where i thought my speakers would explode or my ears would be in a state of ecstacy. RTSS is always great during the Zoo Tour, as is Streets. Pride just sounds like it caught on fire, and set Verona ablaze with it. Then Still Haven't Found. It wasnt really played that much during the Zooropa leg, so its a rarity. It was one of those nights where the band were in a great mood, and could make anything possible. If you listen really close, you can hear the crowd sing as well. Stand By Me finishes off an amazing set, and honestly, I don't understand why the band didn't close with Still Haven't Found and Stand By Me for the rest of the tour. Also, amazing singing by the Edge to end the song. And then....the debut of Mr. MacPhisto! An odd version of Desire, but whatever. Ultraviolet sounds perfect. Nothing else can describe it. WOWy was nice, as does LIB and Cant Help Fallin In Love. Amazing solo during WOWY. A great show, and one of my favorites

To me, it's one of my favorite boots. It has everything Zoo TV is defined as (before Zooropa). Power, electro, synth, media...... everything came together to buld the Zoo machine. After waiting in the Zoo Station, the express train pulled up, and this gig took off in such fashion.

Performance:
A very workmanlike performance from the boys in this the fourth leg of their biggest tour. And heirin lies my major problem with this boot. It was too routine. The band played a very good setlist with great proficiency (the Edge, in particular, was spot on) but there was no gusto or brilliance to it I felt. I got the impression that they were a little too comfortable here, choosing not to take it to another level and really turn it on for the fans.
To be fair, I cannot overlook a few attempts to mix it up a little and throw out a few surprises which should be commended. Larry's Dirty Old Town was a good bit of fun and My Girl provided interesting variation in a great spot in the set. I should acknowledge that all the ZooTV stalwarts were played quite well, particularly the encore. McPhisto's Desire and Ultraviolet were perhaps the pick of the bunch. I always like hearing the shimmering Zoo intro of With Or Without You and can never understand why it was dropped on the last leg.
A minor complaint that I have is the setlist. Streets and Pride should have wrapped up the main set on every ZooTV show as they climax the energy extremely well. Still Haven't Found.... and Stand By Me don't belong here. They end on a rather soft note. Sorry. Push them up around Bad or something.
Highlights:
None really to speak of.
Lowlights:
None really to speak of.

Sound:
Scratchy, rough, distant and muffled. The bass, in particular, was tragic. I haven't checked out the version in the bootleg section but this was definitely not 4 star. It's about on par with most 3 stars I've listened to. On top of that, there seemed to be fairly regular volume fluctuations and movements between speakers. I was a little disappointed to say the least. The only shining light - a very vocal audience whose voice was very well measured in the recording.
Overall:
The lack of highlights and lowlights says it all really. Just a very typical run of the mill ZooTV boot. And there was nothing really to distinguish itself. It was caught between the first legs and the onset of Zooropa. If you want a good genuine ZooTV show, check out the U.S. legs or a few 2nd leg European gigs like Globen. If you want a Zooropa mix, select some of the latter 4th leg shows like Dublin or London or the Australasia leg. This Verona show was in a bit of a time warp. I can only give this 6/10.

Performance:
Hmm. In comparison to more standout shows, this doesn't really match them any of them for mindboggling exhiliration. I think the release of Zooropa came slightly too late for this show, because by this point it seemed that the band and the ZooTV spectacle - Bono in particular - was losing momentum, what with it having been the best part of a year and some since the release of Achtung Baby, and it seems that the energy was dwindling from all and sundry. Although I'm sure that, had I been at the Stadio Bentegodi that night, I may have a slightly differing opinion but as a bootleg, everything seems fairly innane, especially on a ZooTV scale. Compare this to the true Zooropa shows, the early incarnations of the Outdoor Broadcast shows (e.g. 1992-04-21 Tacoma or 1992-08-12 East Rutherford) or some of the 2nd leg European gigs (1992-06-04 Dortmund, 1992-06-11 Stockholm or 1992-05-07 Paris spring to mind) and this really is miles behind - everything's fairly innane; dare I say, a bit flat? I hate to be a bore, but unlike many, I'm not a fan of Larry's 'karaoke' moments during the tour, and I can't really make any exceptions for this. 'Tis clear why he's only really a backing singer at most...my personal highlight of the show has to go to the audience during the Confessionals when someone (on the screen) says something and the crowd all shout out "Va fan Culo" or "Vaffanculo" ("Go fuck yourself" and "fuck off" respectably). The encore was probably the pick of the setlist - fun version of Desire, although MacPhisto does really make a meal of the refrain (as ever). That said, I did enjoy his appearance. Ultra Violet never really benefitted from his delivery, but the rest of the encore was always good, excuse the pun, with or without him, and in this case, I thought Love Is Blindness was as epic as ever - loved Edge's little melody part just after the solo, even though it was oh so shortlived. Encore apart, nothing really grabbed me as being of particular note.*
(*Ooh, one last thing, no WGRYWH )

Sound:
It seems that early reviewers aren't too keen on the sound here. I'm not particularly fussed, but it's definitely better than 3-star in my opinion, I think 3.5-4 is perfectly acceptable - hell, it's much clearer than the previous 2 BRT choices in my opinion which were generally agreed to be 3-stars. That's not to say I think it's wonderful - my bones of contention lie mainly in the way the sound seems to fluctuate to and fro, aswell as seeming fairly distant, not to mention the manner in which it seems to "fart" when the bass gets too much, and hence this isn't the most enjoyable in terms of a listening experience...that said, I've sat through far worse. The band are all audible and the crowd come into their own when you expect them to, e.g. the B-stage set, Bad, Pride etc. Not amazing, but certainly not crap.
Overall:
I don't think there's much to add, I'm afraid - decent (if not incredible) soundquality and a fairly bog-standard performance from the band. Prior to the encore, Bono just seems to be reaching out for that something to really liven up proceedings, and it shows.
A fairly solid, middle-of-the-road 6/10, for me.

Performance:
Far from the best Zoo TV I’ve heard, the band did the Job, delivered to goods to the paying Italian public, but that was about as far as it went. The set, though different, had lost the climatic ending it had before the first encore, Streets and Pride pushed back for ISHFWILF and ‘Stand by Me’.
After and average start with the first set, to boot began to show its charms with the Encore. Desire was a welcome surprise, and in-between the rather confusing Mr Macphisto phone call, UltraViolet led the way for a great With or Without You (especially with the cool sounding intro).

Sound:
Despite the hype, I wasn’t really grabbed by the sound quality of the gig. In all fairness, it was better than the 3 star boots we have been treated over the last 6 weeks, but this recording still had a flat feel to it. The band in some areas sounded faint, especially Bono, and in others they were quite over powering, The Bass for instance. Ground was recovered however with the not to distant nor overpowering audience and the equality in which all parts of the bootleg came across. I therefore come to the conclusion that it was a good listen, the best one we have had since Caspers TUF boot.

Overall:
can tell you all what the problem with this gig was. Too many shows playing the exact same songs (over 120 at this point?). Whereas the early 93 gigs were excellent with that nervous energy and Macphisto only finding out who he was, the gigs too a dip then levelled out at ok (just like this gig). It wasnt until the Zooropa material came into the sets that the shows began to lift again and the band sounded more upbeat and the better performances came to light and it remained this way right to the end of the tour as more and more new material made it into the set. This gig and others like it were just flat. Not bad but just flat and my reasons above make sense of that I reckon.
on a more positive note, My Girl is one of the best snippets to grace a U2 set and When Love. . . Is a fun little number when played Zoo style. Hilight for me was Edge's little guitar outtro to Love Is Blindness. Never heard that before.

Performance:
Nothing special. Bono's voice wasn't at its best for this show......... "Take me higher!"..... not its best. Hell, I think I did it better earlier today lol . However, I think things picked up after Bad. WOWY was great, as were most other ZOO performances of it. However, Love is Blindness could have been better. Oh, an I think that "Stand by me" rocked
Audience:
This part of the bootleg isn't reviewed, only rated.
Sound:
Sounds like its muffled (duh). At the end of Mysterious Ways, when the crowd screamed "Bono! Bono!", I looked out my window to see if Bono was outside lol (yes, seriously lol). However, no offense to Steve, because this must be an improvement to the original

Overall:
Not really much for me to say about this show. Stock-standard ZooTV show. The sound was okay, but a little inconsistent for my tastes. Mostly it was pretty good, but it dipped and faded around a bit in the beginning which was annoying. All in all, a basic ZooTV show that isn't staying on my iPod or iTunes.
Highlights
Until the End of the World
Bullet the Blue Sky
Transition from RTSS into Streets
Bono's guitar/added synth during "ISHFWILF"....a breath of fresh air into a song that really needed it.
Edge's guitar on Love is Blindness after the solo
Lowlights
Pretty much everything else. Nothing blew me away with this show. Is it just me or did anyone else feel like the band was just going through the motions?
PS - Everytime I hear Larry sing "Dirty Ol' Town" I think he's going to hack up his tonsils on the stage. Take it easy, Larry boy....and stick with the drumming.

Performance:
liked it. Individually there are better performances available from this tour of virtually every song, however I didn't sense the apathy of the band that other reviewers have. Zoo TV was rarely if ever poor and this is no exception. Enjoyable.
Audience:
Energetic. Interrupt the recording occasionally, but that's not their fault! Sing along well and overall added to the boot for me
Sound:
OK. It's perfectly listenable, nothing overly objectionable. The polishing by Steve certainly doesn't warrant the self-depreciation seen!!
Levels are not balanced however, the audience interferes on occasions and it fuzzes.
Overall:
It is not, ultimately, a failure of this show to deliver. I suspect the people of Verona had a great time. However, the show suffers in comparison to some truly startling bootlegs of the same tour, and, indeed, the same leg. Paris, Stockholm, Milan for example. Sound is infinitely superior in such boots, making the listening experience more pleasurable and individual songs have little nuances that heighten their standing compared to those here.
If you like ZooTV, give it a listen. But it won't stay on your iPod and may not stay on your iTunes depending on disk space. There's too many other superior ZooTV boots.

Performance:
This show didn't grab me. I listened to for 2 times now and there aren't any special performances. All good and solid though, but Zooropa never did something to me. I prefer Zoo TV from 92, like Stockholm. Zooropa was a bit too much for me. Anyway, there are some songs that I want to highlight though:
- Bad, like the snippets, very solid.
- Ultraviolet, always good to hear this one, but can't be compared to Washington's one. Or Dublin.
- Tryin' to Throw Your Arms, relaxing, good, solid...standard one actually but it was a favourite for me when I listened to this show.
- My Girl, just nice.
- Stand By Me, always gives me chills, even if it is played crap. This one wasn't luckily.
Audience:
This part of the bootleg isn't reviewed, only rated.
Sound:
Nothing special, nothing bad either. A bit muffy, you can hear there's been some editing done to it but everything is clearly audible. Worthy 4-star.
Overall:
A good pick, something new after two Vertigo ones and Steve did a proper job on this remaster, although I never heard the original.

Performance:
A routine performance. Nothing extraordinary or jaw dropping, but a solid show overall. Bono's voice seemed to be a bit weak from the start, but I think things picked up quite a bit after Bad. It's a good show, but our standards are rightfully set fairly high considering some of the great Zoo TV shows, and I don't know if this one met the standards all of us (well, most of us, anyway) set. There are a few things that stood out to me, though:
- Ultraviolet....Liked it, but as Casper said, it's not up there with Washington or Dublin. If I was the band, I would lock Edge in a room until he learned to play this again. I'm going to make a bold prediction and say that we see this on the next tour.
- My Girl....I've never cared this snippet. Don't know why, though.
- Love Is Blindness.....Great. Possibly one of my top 5 favorite performances of it. It was my favorite from the show.
Audience:
This part of the bootleg isn't reviewed, only rated.
Sound:
Not amazing or spectacular, but definitely an improvement over the original. It's a bit shaky at some points, but most bootlegs are...Steve did a pretty good job.
Overall:
liked it, but it is by no means an "essential". If you're a someone with a lot of hard drive space, grab the upgrade. If you just want the basic Zoo Bootlegs, you can find a lot better. The crowd was your typical Italian crowd: Energetic, Enthused, and singing along with every song. I'm going to say that the Italian crowds are just as passionate and into the show as the South American crowds. And we all know that the South American U2 crowds are always amazing...
