The band performed great as usual. Just at times felt like they were going through the motions. But what can you expect when they do the same thing every 2-3 nights and it was extremely hot out.

Audience
The audience seemed to know all the words and sang or danced along. However, during the times when Bono seemed to be asking for participation, the crowd didn't always answer the call.
Overall
Day started with a whirlwind tour of Philly alongside my wife and our two oldest friends. Saw the Liberty Bell, Rocky steps, etc. Went to Reading Terminal Market and shared some great food. We witnessed a GLBT pride parade and the unfortunate souls--who claim to be christian--that were protesting and badgering the parade participants. I was glad to see it didn't phase the participants much, but it still surprises me to see such hatred on display. It's 2017 right?
Early evening we parked in our tailgate lot spot and that was one of the highlights of the experience. The stalls were covered, so we could get some shade (it was 90+ that day), enjoy a few beverages, and listen to all the U2 fans play various songs and check out their U2 gear. Entry into the stadium took a long time and so only got to see the last couple songs of the Lumineers.
Wish the band would have started before it got dark as I would like to see a twilight show sometime, but it wasn't to be. When it did start it was immediately apparent that the screen was amazing. The show itself was great and it was nice to hear some of the songs off of JT that aren't often played. Out of songs I've seen on the playlists of other shows, I would like to have gotten ASOH, Ultraviolet, and their new song. However, the extended end of MW with the slide guitar solo is one of my favorite parts of any U2 song, so I was glad to have gotten that.
The various messages about women's rights, equality between races, religious equality, curing AIDS, and feeding the starving were well done and fit with the songs played during the message. Promoting important movements, and seeing the mostly positive response from the crowd, struck home a bit more having seen what I did earlier that day--even if there wasn't a specific GLBT related moment.
Overall I would say this was a great idea and I sure hope they have a 30th Anniversary Tour for Achtung Baby too (following the Experience & Innocence tour). Short of that a greatest hits tour with a rotating variety of songs would be good too. I'd like to see some songs off of albums they sometimes ignore (R&H, Zooropa, Pop, NLOTH, and now SOI), but they only have so much time, so that will likely remain an unfulfilled wish.
