U2's run at the O2 was absolutely a very strong one. The fifth night may be considered as a "standard performance," but the standard of "i+e" is very, very high.
Little mistakes here and there prevented the band from rising "even further" above themselves - something that happens only occasionally on this tour, for instance in Glasgow and Amsterdam (and perhaps Barcelona and Berlin).
But, as earlier said, the "i+e" standard is already very high and London 5 shouldn't let anyone down.
Chris Voynet's recording has a very pleasant and warm sound. Just a little too much close clapping and nearby talking for 4.5 stars. I would say. But in terms of clarity, dynamics and balance it is certainly there! A well deserved "4+" I would say Recording: Audience microphone - 4 stars
I guess this was OK, but it seems that One has had audience with a little more effort... But then again, London has always been "hip" and Monday isn't exactly the hippest day of the week...
Strong & solid performance by a strong & solid band. Volcano in the set and Bono's London Calling a capella right after I Will Follow and the Get On Your Boots snippet before EBW definitely makes this show one worthy of revisiting

"We didn't do the hit because I'd gone AWOL to try and find a television moment and forgot about the song. The band were very, very upset - they nearly fired me."
- Bono on playing an extended version of Bad at Live Aid, resulting in the fact that Pride was not performed
