Bono's voice seemed a little tired, but overall, the band played well.
An okay audience recording. Nothing particularly special, but I'm glad I have this recording to relive the show. Recording: Audience microphone - 3.5 stars
The audience wasn't particularly ecstatic. I chalk it up to the stadium setting and the fact that the show itself wasn't sold out. They got excited at all the right parts, but not the most participatory or exciting.
Seeing as it was my first U2 show, I would rate it 5 stars, but in fairness to other shows that I have experienced via bootlegs, I'm giving this a 4. (Even then it's a bit on a curve). To be there, it was a 5. To listen to it, it's a 4. Still a great show, but not the best.

"Every album is difficult. If it was easy, we'd make one a month."
- The Edge
did you know
During the recording of 'She's A Mystery To Me', which Bono and The Edge wrote for Roy Orbison, Bono quoted a phrase from 1987 that he would use on With Or Without You during these sessions in 1989 for Orbison's album: 'Sleight of hand'.
