Performance:
I waited over 6 months for this night. It was a fantastic show. The claw upclose is something to see.I thought the stage would spin around, but 360 is for your visual sight.Unless one of the claws blocks your view. The video screens looked great. When I saw that the band played Your Blue Room in Chicago and Boston, I prayed that on one of the 2 nights at Giants Stadium ,the band whould play it.They did.I love that song.Alot of people in my section had no clue what song it was,I felt like it was a song for the diehards only. Then, Beautiful Day was played and the place went nuts. The played out hits(Mysterious Ways,Elevation,Vertigo) went over well. The setlist was split up with old and new tunes .NLOTH was played 10th.Like most of us,I knew the setlist in and out, they mixed it up much on this night. Shes The One/Desire was great, for Bruce's 60th b-day, Bono sang Hes The One.ISHFWILF was the usual singalong. As was Elevation. The band were no nonsense. The next night they seemed to have more fun. But, I liked this show alot better.TUF and Your Blue Room were my standout songs for the night.
Audience:
My section,104 row 15,behind the stage to the left, was wild.Very vocal, alot of Guinness was had by all.We were all very into the show. The sound was great as well.I enjoyed the spaceship 360 stage.Amazing effects did not take away from the music.
Sound:
Bonos voice very clear. The rest of the band is blended in very nicely.Overall sound is a little low. Some tin sounding, but not much.Drums sound good, little flat but not bad.I dont think this boot tops Chicago 1,or night 2 in NJ.Its a bit below. If you turn up the volume a notch you can really enjoy the gig. This is a great momento for me.
Overall:
I loved this show."The Manhattan skylin,The City Of Blinding Lights".Bonos great quote.Nothing like seeing the band band here.Your Blue Room was great. The spacestation sequence during this song was very well done.NLOTH sounded fantastic.I was happy the old classic NYD was played, even though Adam butchered it, while Bono was introducing him.Kinda a funny moment, the band get lost, and Bono calls from the Edge to solo.Im glad they have played it only here and there, and not every night.Ultra Violet, well done.I liked the red microphone.Bono was swinging on it and almost crashed into Edge.My only regret was not hearing Bad either night. As I have mentioned many times over,MOS is a weak song to close a great show with.Alot of fans walked out during the song.IMO All I want Is You or Bad or....ANY classic would be better fitting to close the gig.But the crowd was great for me,we loved it,great seats, great band, and of course, in the great Metropolitan area NY/NJ. See you in 2010.Cheers !!!!!
