Performance

I feel like I'm the debbie-downer, being the only reviewer to not rate this with 5 stars...but its just not a perfect performance!! Its a damn-near perfect setlist, but the execution has its flaws. With that being said, the slight mistakes in Edge's guitar lines and Bono forgetting some lyrics are what make this boot original, and arguably one of the more essential shows of the tour to own.

Sound

Nothing to get terribly excited about, but it's generally clear. Couple times in some random songs there is some interference- sounds like potentially radio? Either way, it doesn't detract TOO much from the listening experience.
Recording: Audience microphone - 3 stars

Audience

Hard to hear at times, but appropriately mixed in this audience recording. (Side note- was someone booing in the intro of Beautiful Day? Made me chuckle)

Overall

It's a great boot to have, but then, so is the entire stay at Chicago on this leg. The following night's performance was better, and if the setlist was a little more like this night's, the show would have been- without a doubt- the best of the Vertigo Tour. These 2 nights in Chicago are worth having, but get them both. If you're only taking one, I think I have to reccomend night 2.

Highlights:

-Actually hearing some Pop material on the tour
-Walk On was so cool
-Love and Peace was cool too

Lowlights:

-Discotheque, while cool to hear, seemed way too fast for me.
-Minor flubs throughout the night, but its what makes every show personal and not overly produced.
