Performance:
This early show really shows the confidence the band had in the tour at this point. The Edge's guitar rips through the air, Bono's voice sounds as decent as it ever would on this tour, and the rhythm section is incredibly tight.
Audience:
A little hard to hear in the IEM matrix, but definitely responding to the songs and supporting the band.
Sound:
Wow. This could be the most clear, even IEM of the tour that I've listened to. I'm seriously amazed at the sound during "Vertigo". Almost all 4 members can be heard at the perfect levels. The clicks of the IEM are completely masked by the band's sound more often than not, leaving the audio sounding as clean as some radio broadcasts.
Overall:
I haven't listened to a Vertigo show I've enjoyed this much in a very, very long time. Don't hesitate to grab this Glendale bootleg- but make sure it's the IEM matrix. The clicks become barely noticable, and the sound is really magical.
Highlights-
Vertigo
Elevation
Gloria
Miracle Drug
Running to Stand Still
The Fly
Lowlights-
Hate to say it, but 40 leaves something to be desired since the audience is a bit harder to hear. Still a treat- but not everything the song can be.

Performance:
Solid, solid show here, early on the first leg.The Boy songs each night were the highlight for me.The rotation of Gloria/The Ocean are played to perfection at this gig.The fact the band also played Electric Co and An Cat Dubh, on this leg, says it all.Bad, is played kinda early at this show.Sounds brilliant as usual. The Van snippet works for me.Bonos One speech is a bit much.4:20 is long IMO.I agree with everything Bono is saying, but most dont want to hear it at a rock show.Anyway,One is nailed. As is The Fly.
Audience:
Sounds good in spots, but are drowned out by the IEM.
Sound:
Great mix here,IEM and Audience.I had the 4 star boot for years. Was good sounding, but this is a great upgrade. This show and Seattle (04.24.05) are the best from the first leg,as far as sound goes IMO.The count in 1,2,3,4 doesnt take anything away, and is very low. This could pass for a release, and I dont say that much.
Overall:
I really like this show.I loved the Vertigo Tour. The band for the first (and only) time, opened with diffeent songs(L&P,COBL,Vertigo),and closed with different songs each night. You have a great mix of old and new here.I never thought I would hear the band play the Ocean live. They went back to their roots on this tour.More so than Elevation. In the U.S.,the band stuck to arenas.Nothing too over the top here.Bad sounds fantastic,as does Gloria."40" ends the show. You couldnt ask for a better mix ,than this show. IMO, this is a must grab show.
