Recorded at the back of the front of stage area. There is hardly any crowd noise on the recording.
If you want to split it on two cds then you can start the second cd with "Please". Disc 1 is 68:54 and disc 2 63:42 long.
I did some digital clones from my master in 1997 and 1998 but there has never been a transfer from this master so far. The cd version
which exists is taken from a digital clone or a higher generation of a clone.
This was the best of the seven "Popmart"-shows which I saw in 1997. It was raining all day (not heavily but steadily) and rain-concerts
are the best! So many and unexpected snippets like "In The Name Of The Father", "Summer Holiday", "Broken English" and "Children Of The Revolution"! There
were problems with Edge's guitar on "Until The End Of The World" and with the start of "New Year's Day".
Disappointing was only the small number of fans (less than 20 000) which joined the concert. "Popmart" was not a success in Germany.

"We went everywhere together. I thought it was pretty pointless being the manager of U2 if you didn't get to see their shows. I didn't regard it as a burden so much as a privilege."

The title for the song 'Shadows and Tall Trees' is taken from William Goldings "Lord Of The Flies", whose 5th chapter bears the same name. The song, and the album, is about boyhood, innocence and struggle, as is Golding's book.
