Performance

The band play a very good show, and Bono especially is doing great - especially impressive since he says he's not feeling well. Lots of little lyrical changes and fanciness on the guitar permeate the whole show, making it a gem to listen to.

Bono sings 'on knees, Larry Mullen Jr' in Mysterious Ways. Until the End of the World has the 'is this rock n roll? I don't know' outro, and the transition to New Year's Day is great, with Bono giving New Year's Day an alternate intro. Larry sings very rowdily on Dirty Old Town. Bono claims Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around the World was written in LA in 1988, and jokes that he was going through puberty at that time. The snippet of My Girl is long, and When Love Comes To Town sounds different/stronger than usual. Bullet the Blue Sky is amazing, as is Running To Stand Still with a long harmonica outro, and Streets of course is excellent. Bono makes a speech at the beginning of a very strong I Still Haven't Found, followed by an excellent Stand By Me, with Edge singing too. The whole encore is incredible. Desire rocks, and Bono gets through to the White House before Ultra Violet, but can't talk to George. Ultra Violet is great ('you were an opera in my bed'). With or Without You is a very, very strong performance - one of the best.

Sound

It's quite good in a lot of places, but it has several issues of fuzziness, and sound panning from one side to the other, etc. Overall, easily listenable, but - especially earlier on - not the greatest either.

Audience

They seem pretty engaged - except the people around the taper, who are chatting and arguing and just generally being somewhat irritating at many points in the show.

Overall

Phenomenal show, would easily be 5 stars if sound were just a little bit better and the irritating audience members weren't so prominent. This whole show is great, but Bono is the real star tonight. His voice is awesome and he's playing around with the songs. Get this one, you won't be sorry!
