This review is written by Elektrik2007 and written on 2008-08-27 05:34 pm. Performance: IMO the performance is brilliant. All songs are performed very well.... Highlights: 1) The Fly - cool version with Bono singing the final chorus (like in Verigo) 2) Angel of Harlem - awesome wedding march snippet 3) Stay - arguably the best ever version played by the band 4) Ultra-violet - Help snippet is breath-taking, plus the song is performed in a very emotional and dramatic way. Audience: This is broadcast. We hear audience only when we are *allowed* to hear. While generally these moments are picked very well (listen to Stay, Angel of Harlem, Ultra violet etc) still I would prefer a little more audience. Sound: The sound is excellent plus. IMO only 2 drawbacks: 1) The drums could be more punchy 2) The sound itself could be a little more raw, less soft. Overall: IMO this is best ever bootleg concert of U2 performance/quality wise. While there certainly ARE more emotional and better pulled off shows with more interesting set lists, I think this one does not deserve the critic sometimes die-hard fans pour on it. All songs are performed decently. The Fly, Angel of Harlem, Stay and Help-Ultraviolet are true gems here. Given the excellent sound of this bootleg, I would rate it as one of the best unofficial live recordings of U2.
