NOTES:
As usual I buy the absolute cheapest ticket and as has happened a few times recently a kind benefactor sticks me in a better spot.
Good show for what it is (seeing U2 again, knowing they have a new album out and not really caring what they do)
Same production as 2015 (giant screen down catwalk, band sometimes in the screen, B stage at other end of arena)
To make up for last year, absolutely nothing off The Joshua Tree
LOTS of songs off the last few albums
Find myself wondering how much is really live, hearing way too many instruments and vocals for 4 people on stage.
Fun to watch.
No one around me seemed to be upset with the setlist but after last year and going from selling 140,000 to 30,000 tix it's probably 99% die hards in the audience. I have had decent luck at U2 compared to other bands being surrounded by people who are actually interested in watching the show and listening to the music.
Still regret not seeing 1997 tour.
Look forward to the obligatory geography lesson from someone who has never set foot in California.
